Lead is 40% denser than any other economical metal. In a counterweight application for example lead creates opportunities that expand equipment performance. Improving canister design and utilizing high density lead produces lower centers of gravity in lift equipment, benefits such as smaller turning radius, accurate weights, and denser canisters that require less space, provide design opportunities that exceed those available with concrete, steel plate, shot or punchings.
