Lead Bricks
MarShield lead brick shielding provides the best choice for construction where temporary or permanent shields or storage areas are required. Cast from 99.94% pure virgin high quality lead, our bricks are relatively smooth, clean and have a non-porous surface. When more hardness in the lead bricks is required, antimony is added. Bricks of lead are available in a wide range of sizes, thicknesses and shapes to suit your application.
Leaded Drywall
As the most malleable of common metals. lead can be easily shaped, formed, bent or cut to suit all applications. Since lead in its sheet form has very little inherent structural strength, however, MarShield offers Sheet lead as laminated panels, adhesive bonded to such materials like plywood, gypsum board to created leaded drywall. With its high internal damping capacity, leaded drywall becomes excellent barrier material to block the transmission of sound, and for isolating equipment from mechanical vibration.
Lead-lined Drywall
We start out by using only fire code gypsum materials for all lead lined drywall products. The drywall should conform to ASTM C36. A recommended thickness of a single unpierced sheet of lead in any chosen length is applied and bonded to the appropriate length of gypsum board. Lead-lined drywall boards are available in a minimum size of 4' x 8' to a maximum 4' x 10' x 5/8" minimum thickness.
Lead-lined Gypsum Board
With its high density and flexibility, sheet lead is superior in shielding rooms against x-rays and gamma radiation. Our sheet lead is extremely resistant to corrosion from the atmosphere, salt water, and most industrial chemicals. When sheet lead is bonded to gypsum board, the resulting lead-lined product offers a more rigid building material and ensures a continuous meeting edge.
Lead-lined Sheetrock
MarShield offers lead-lined sheetrock for many applications that include radiation shielding in laboratories, dental and veterinary clinics, and hospitals, roofing, flashing and waterproofing, corrosion protection, sound proofing, and nuclear energy shielding. Our sheet lead is 99.94% pure lead. Absolutely no refining is performed in the manufacturing of our sheet lead. MarShield is only interested in providing its customers with the highest quality sheet lead available today.
